Zansky Family Photo Session - July 27, 2010

It's always a pleasure to photograph my past clients when they begin their new family lives. Aliza & Kyle are one of my all time favorite wedding clients and I loved photographing their gorgeous wedding at Hudson Theatre back in 2008. I had the opportunity to photograph their new a beautiful baby, Eva at their Manhattan home. Below are just a few images from the photo session.

Djam Band Promo Photo Session - May 30, 2010

DJam is band that is a modern blend of ancient party music with human beatbox, electronics, a taste of traditional middle eastern flavor, and a mouthful of NYC style. We worked together on creating some cool promo images for them. We shot in the NYC subway system and in my photo studio.

Bellydance "Animals" Performance - April 16, 2010

The Venus Uprising bellydance collective put on bellydance showcase at The Merce Cunningham Dance Studio in NYC. Many of my bellydancer pals performed in the show. Below are some images from the exciting show.

 

Ugly Betty Farewell Party - April 1, 2010

"Ugly Betty" was one of ABC's flagship television shows for the past four years. This past April I saw the final episode of the show. The show's producers held a farewll party at the Room Service Lounge in Chelsea, NYC. I was hired to photograph the event and it was lots of fun. Most of the show's stars showed up for the party including America Ferrara, Judith Light, Ana Ortiz, and Mark Indelicato. They even had a karoke jamboree. Below are some pics from the party.

 

Sira Bellydance Troupe Group Portraits - January 24, 2010

My good friend Sira, who is one of NYC best bellydancers had me photograph her troupe of dancers. They were the same dancers from the performance show I photographed back in September of 09'. We photographed the group portraits in DUmbo Brooklyn, NYC.

Jang Photographers 09' Holiday Party - December 20, 2009

Every year around the winter holidays, I take my associate photographers and interns out to and I treat them to great time. In 09', I took them to the Bowling Bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and we had some great comfort food and had a awesome time bowling and hanging out.

Michelle Virela Birthday - October 14, 2009

All the people that ever work for Lina Jang Photography are a part of my family. Whenever one of us has a birthday we celebrate. Michelle Virela has interned for me for the past year and we all love her. Michelle helps around at the office doing post production on photos and she has also assisted me on a couple of wedding assignments. Here are some shots of her in the office on her birthday.

Bellydance Metamorphasis Performance - October 1, 2009

I got to shoot another amazing bellydance performance showcase in the early fall. This one was put togather by the Venus Uprising Collective and was held at the Mercer Dance Studio in Manhattan. My good friend Tanna, an amazing NYC bellydancer, is one of the founders and performers in the Venus Uprising Collective. Below are just a few of my favorite shots from the show.

 

 

"Live From NYC Bellydance" Performance - September 25, 2009
